Gender Links, Johannesburg (GL)

GL's primary area of focus is the transformation of gender relations in and through the media. It conducts research, develops training materials, and helps gender activists and women in decision making build capacity in media and communication skills.

WWW includes publications, training information and materials, advisory services, links to its formal networks in Botswana, Lesotho, Mauritius, Seychelles, Swaziland and Zambia, a virtual resources centre, an electronic forum and news and events. The virtual resources centre comprises a collection of gender and media case studies from around Southern Africa accompanied by training notes that can be searched by country, theme and technical training criteria.
