Integrated services
MISR is an autonomous institute of Makerere University. It conducts and coordinates basic and applied research on social development. The Institute also provides consultancy services to private, public and NGO sectors; undertakes networking with related institutions globally; develops and maintains a regional data bank and disseminates information.
Key research areas include:
- governance and culture
- health, education and culture
- natural resource management and culture
- entrepreneurship and culture.
The MISR also holds short courses about the impact of globalisation on health promotion and prevention in Africa. The website contains information about current research by the institution. Papers and reports are available for download.
