The World Health Organization Department of Mental Health and Substance Dependence provides leadership and guidance for the achievement of two broad objectives, namely: closing the gap between what is needed and what is currently available to reduce the burden of mental disorders worldwide, and promoting mental health.
This website provides information on evidence and research, policy and services, advocacy, disorders management and suicide prevention and special programmes. It also provides access to publications from the Department of Mental Health and links to relevant organisations.
