Health promotion
The Chronic disease and Health Promotion (CHP) department of the World Health Organization focuses on efforts to promote health and to prevent and control major chronic diseases and their risk factors. Topic areas include: cancer; cardiovascular diseases; chronic respiratory diseases; diabetes; blindness and visual impairment; deafness and hearing impairment. The department's activities include: advocacy; providing information for policy; health promotion; and prevention and management.
