Social Science and Medicine

This interdisciplinary journal is aimed at social scientists, health practitioners and policy makers. It publishes original research and critical or analytical reviews, research reports and letters relevant to any aspect of health from a wide range of social science disciplines. These disciplines include anthropology, economics, education, ethics, geography, political science, psychology, social policy and sociology. Material relevant to any of the social sciences from any of the professions concerned with physical and mental health, and with health care practice, policy and organisation is also published and there is a particular focus on findings or reviews which are of general interest to an international readership.
