No more disease silos for Sub-Saharan Africa

View full report

Countries in sub-saharan Africa are facing a double burden of communicable disease and non-communicable diseases. This paper argues that knowledge of their common determinants and the links between diseases should be used to spur development of coordinated programmes to prevent and treat both. The paper discusses the essence of the problem, the approach to take in proffering an intervention, and barriers that could impede interventions.
