One approach is using the SWOT (Strengths, Weakness, Threats and Opportunities) analysis a strategic planning tool which highlights the strengths and weakness within an NGO and the external factors which pose a threat or an opportunity for the NGO. This manual provides advice on conducting a SWOT analysis of an NGOs capacity.
