Meet the editor

I edit the Eldis Manuals and Toolkits guide with support from Louisa Woollen. We welcome your submissions and suggestions (see below), and we are particularly keen on Southern-produced publications.
I also oversee the Eldis OnDisc project, our first offline service, which aims to make development information more available for those with little or no internet access. Lastly, I am responsible for the Middle East and North Africa regional page.
I joined Eldis in 2007 having previously worked at Citizens Advice Scotland where I developed my experience in editing/writing, advocacy and training. I graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in Arabic with Politics and Middle Eastern History.
About the guide
The purpose of the Manuals and Toolkits guide is to provide information which is practical, relevant and easy to apply to most contexts. It aims to communicate key development practices in a simple manner that can be used by those at all levels of the development sector.
We try to do this by providing:
- access to the latest "how to" guides from a variety of sources on a host of topics
- resources on CDRom via the Eldis OnDisc Manuals and Toolkits Edition
- access to a broad range of information sources through weblinks to organisations producing related materials.
