Hi. I am one of the Eldis editors, responsible for the gender, migration and participation resource guides. I'm also helping to coordinate a montioring and evaluation process for Eldis, which will help us to understand more about our users' needs so that we can continue improving our services.
About the migration guide
The Migration Resource Guide is aimed at specialists in migration as well as development decision makers, practitioners, researchers and civil society who are interested in learning more about migration issues.
The Guide aims to reflect current policy interest on the importance of international and internal migration for people’s livelihoods and economic development in the form of remittances. It also covers over facets of this complex topic, including the relationship between gender and migration, debates around trafficking in women and children, and the identity politics. It does this by providing:
- Access to relevant and up-to-date debates, research and announcements on migration
- Presentation of key issues within migration and development
- Access to a broad range of related information through weblinks to organisations working in migration and development
- Access to interesting migration-related discussions and newsletters
