School of Development Studies, University of Kwazulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa (SDS)


The School of Development Studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal is a multi- disciplinary research and post-graduate teaching institution that offers course- work or dissertation Masters degrees in Development Studies and Population Studies. In addition, the School offers a diploma option and has a thesis-based PhD programme. The School incorporates the Centre for Civil Society.

The website offers downloadable copies of Research Reports and Working Paper Series, as well as news on research projects and publications from our staff. Research data on the Datasets page is also available in downloadable form for use by researchers.
