Fahamu is dedicated to strengthening the work of not-for-profit and other non-governmental organisations throughout the world through the use of information and communications technologies.

Produces and publishes CDROM based learning materials, designs and manages websites, runs training courses (including on-line courses), and provide support for internet-related work.

Runs special programme for human rights organisations - Adilisha, seeking to strengthen the campaigning, advocacy and organisational capacity of human rights organisations in southern Africa through distance learning and the use of computer-based learning materials. Fahamu also has an active programme of social policy research on Africa.

WWW site still partly under construction. CDROM products include:

• Writing for change - writing skills including writing for science and advocacy;
• Proposals that make a difference - how to write effective grant proposals.
