Oxfam GB’s Programme Funding & Partnerships (PFP) team has a strong global track record of successfully supporting the development of high-quality programme funding proposals, generating and supporting restricted donor programme income of more than £200m/year from leading institutional Donors (bilateral and multilateral), trust and foundations. We have specialist experience and capability in single country and multi-country programme funding, of traditional and emerging aid modalities and mechanisms, of commercial tendering and of complex consortia formation and partnerships development.
The Co-financing and Strategic Investments Team sits within Programme Funding & Partnerships and serves as OGB’s global focal point for co-financing, providing guidance and advice to senior managers, fundraisers and country teams to maximise funds acting as co-financing. We also manage funding products (i.e. Projects Direct and Unwrapped) to leverage funds, thereby enabling the delivery of organisational priority programmes and projects. The Co-financing and Strategic Investments Team also maintains an overview of organisational priority projects and programmes, which we use to signpost and support fundraisers to raise high quality restricted income.
The Funding Officer role is fast paced and multi-faceted. We are looking for someone who works calmly under pressure, delivers high-quality work to tight deadlines and confidently manages competing priorities. The Funding Officer simplifies complex programme information (written and financial) so it is suitable for a range of audiences. Therefore the post holder must have strong writing and numeracy skills and have a keen eye for detail. Engaging and working with others is a key facet of the role, so the Funding Officer must be a strong communicator who is able to build rapport with colleagues in the UK and around the world.
