Training toolkit for MDGs: module 1

This toolkit is aimed at development professional new to the millenium development goals (MGDs) and is a practical guide for facilitators and teachers.

Laid out as presentation, the toolkit consists of five different activities to engage participants in a wider understanding of the MDGs. The activities are based on the following areas:

• the millenium declaration and the MDGs
• team building around the goals
• claim-holders and the duty-bearers
• analysing the national context
• developing a strategic plan for achieving the goals.

The facilitator is given a step-by-step guide on how to lead the discussion and exercises, and a guide to further resources is also presented.
