The International Development Committee reported to the House on Debt Relief in its Third Report of Session 1997-98, published on Thursday 14 May 1998. The Government response to that Report was received on Monday 20 July 1998. It is reproduced as Appendix 1 to this Special Report. We also publish as Appendix 2 correspondence between the Chairman of the Committee and the Chancellor of the Exchequer on progress made on debt relief at the G8 summit of May 1998.
