The workshop on Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Development: Exploring the Links (organised by IISD) was held on 23 January 2001 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The workshop aimed to address strategies and approaches to deal with the ongoing problem of widespread poverty, within the context of sustainable development.
