This is a comprehensive report on feminist movement history in the Philippines – from voting rights to current issues, such as gender quotas – drawing on the insights and reflections of key female leaders. The Women’s Education, Development, Productivity and Research Organisation, the Institute for Popular Democracy and One World Action collaborated on this project; the aim of which was to facilitate a process of collective reflection, assessment, agenda building and reorientation of strategies for women’s empowerment. It forms part of One World Action’s campaign ‘More Women More Power’, for women to be equally represented in all parliaments and elected bodies.
