Policy consultation on four targeted subjects for enhancing Pakistani competitiveness

Policy consultation on four targeted subjects for enhancing Pakistani competitiveness

Pakistan has been selected for the first time as a partner country of the South Korean Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP).

The subjects of the 2012 KSP with Pakistan include:

  • Creating Space for Urban Micro-enterprises
  • Strengthening Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation at the Ministry of Industries
  • Improving the Energy Efficiency of the Textile Industry
  • Improving the Quality of and Access to Higher Education and Professional Training for HEIs’ Human Resources in Pakistan

These four subjects are considered appropriate for KSP research and study among others. It is understood that the 2012 KSP with Pakistan has significance in the sense that Pakistan is currently
trying to make a leap towards becoming an advanced country through the pursuit of “Vision 2030,” which highly values an innovative policy and strategy reorientation. The KSP could contribute to the realization of this vision, which aims to advance
the knowledge-based economy, promote HRD, and improve energy efficiency by intensifying the role of city as a growth engine of the national economy.
