Spark Microgrants have pioneered an approach to international development which is anchored around local solutions and catalysing rural villages facing poverty into action. This approach is conducted using a model called the Facilitated Collection Action Process (FCAP). Using this approach, Sparks is now active in 320+ villages in six countries, benefitting over 230,000 lives.To maximize Spark’s reach and ensure their learnings and work is shared with key strategic partners to position for further growth, Spark Microgrants is looking for a mission-driven, dynamic #communications leader.
The Communications Director will lead Spark’s #branding, marketing, and content, including leading the branding effort for Spark’s methodology, the ‘Facilitated Collective Action Process’ and the global Community of Practice. They will be responsible for developing updated core language, as well as refinement of #grant proposals and reports.
The Director will have the opportunity to present their work to key partners and the board, travel and work on a team that spans across several different cultures.The successful candidate will have experience and a track record of strategic communications, #marketing, external engagement in the private and/or public sector. They will bring experience in leading and managing communications and production teams in international NGOs or creative industries.
