Call for project proposals on climate change in sub-Saharan Africa

2nd July 2020

The Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP) has launched a new call for project proposals on the theme of Climate change in Sub-Saharan Africa: The impacts and responses for women and girls.

This initiative aims to produce the evidence that local and national policymakers need to inform specific policy interventions for:

  1. Increasing women’s leadership in defining and implementing solutions to mitigate or adapt to climate change effects, and
  2. Mitigating the effects of climate change on gender equality.

To ensure the relevance of the research and its use for informing policy, the projects will be led by teams of local researchers and government officers.

PEP particularly encourages teams from low-income economies, fragile and/or conflict-affected situations (LFCs), but proposals are welcome from all sub-Saharan African countries.

Details about the call, eligibility and how to apply are available at https://www.pep-net.org/call-proposals-climate-change-sub-saharan-africa

Submission deadline: August 25, 2020
