Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI)
Development finance institution consisting of 56 members, is engaged in promoting the economic and social progress of its developing member countries in the Asian and Pacific region.
Information services inclcude:
- WWW server with information on: organisation, project profiles, Newsletter, guides for consultants, publications catalogue, ADB Business Opportunities (monthly listing of proposed projects, procurement notices and contract awards), data from a research project on law and development (including a bibliography of Asian materials and newsletter)
- Statistical Database System (SDBS): national level statitical data (availabele on WWW site). See separate entry
- Enhanced Project Processing Information System (EPPIS): system is textual in nature and integrates data concerning loan, technical assistance and private sector projects in the pipeline at various processing stages from project identification through project approval. It provides information on the purpose and scope of the project, the tentative and actual schedules and status of processing activities, financing arrangements, executing agencies and sectoral classification. The system includes on-line enquiries to access information by country, sector and processing division. The system consists of 250 programs, enables 45 types of on-line enquiries and produces 23 types of printed reports. 1990 to date.
