Research centres include: Centre for African Studies; Centre for Development Policy & Research (CDPR); Centre for Islamic & Middle Eastern Law (CIMEL); Water Issues Group; Centre of Near and Middle Eastern Studies.
Library has a major collection on all countries in Africa and Asia (including Middle East and Pacific Islands). The Library also collects on general social sciences and linguistics. Coverage of database includes all new items processed since 1989; about 40% of pre-1989 monographs are now included. All serials are included.
