Research, training and advisory centre, concerned with the application of Environmental Impact Assessment and Strategic Environmental Assessment on developed and developing countries.
Information services include:
(a)WWW site: offers access to the Centre's publications information, some full text publications, courses/training offered at the Centre, staff information. Also, information on Collaborative Programme in Environmental Impact Assessment and Project Appraisal in Developing Countries, a joint project with The Development and Project Planning Centre (DPPC), University of Bradford (see separate entry), set up to promote research and training in environmental impact assessment and project appraisal in relation to developing economies.
(b) Databases holding details of EIA/SEA references (over 6000), UK environmental statements and an EIA Expert database are now accessible on the website.
(b) Information Service Database: bibliographical database (with abstracts). Available on WWW and in print as a set of subject-based searches or, on request, as user-defined searches (both services are charged for). Personal visits to their documentation centre can also be arranged.
