Freedom from Hunger offers poor women in Africa, Asia, & Latin America integrated microfinance, education, and health protection services, bringing sustainable self-enterprise solutions to 1.2 million families in rural areas where hunger, poverty, and ill-health are chronic, devastating conditions.
Our innovative initiatives include:
- Credit with Education: microfinance and life skills training on health, nutrition, and business;
- Microfinance and Health Protection (MAHP): enabling in-country MFIs to offer critical health protection services to their clients;
- Reach: finding the best anti-poverty, anti-hunger strategies and making them available and affordable for organisations in the field;
- MicroBusiness for Health: door-to-door health protection products and information;
- Learning Games for Adolescent Girls: strengthening girls' self-confidence and decision-making skills about health and money;
- Financial Education: equipping very poor families with essential skills in budgeting, savings, financial negotations, and more.
