Lithuanian Free Market Institute, Lithuania (LFMI)
Its ideas are based on the principles of individual freedom and responsibility, free market and limited government. LFMI pursues its mission by exploring key issues of economic policy, developing conceptual reform packages, drafting and evaluating legislation, submitting policy recommendations at the legislative and executive levels, and launching educational campaigns.
Research areas include: banking; corruption; financial and capital markets, EU integration; employment policy; private enterprise; privatisatio; tax and budget policy; trade policy.
To gain passage for policy proposals, LFMI's policy analysts participate in cabinet meetings, parliamentary committee sittings, ministerial task forces, and non-governmental forums. LFMI's activities also include sociological surveys, publications, conferences, workshops, and lectures.
