A private, independent, research institute, est. in 2001 with the aim of contributing to the development of the country by actively participating in the preparation and implementation of legal, institutional and economic reform in Albania.

PPFI mission is to encourage and support the implementation of free market economy. It aims at realising its mission by closely co-operating with national, regional and international institutions for formulation of strategies, applications of legal, economic and institutional policies in field of international finance-economics.

Public Finance: PPIF is focussed on the ongoing reform of public expenditure management by actively participating in the preparation of legal reform (fiscal decentralisation); in the reform aiming to strengthen budget planning and achieving a more effective use of public resources by increasing the fiscal transparency in public funds.

Private Finance: The active participation in the ongoing reform in the financial sector is the second pillar where PPIF aims to provide contribution to the banking and insurance system and more generally to creation of business private environment through the implementation of international standards in corporate finance and corporate governance.
