The Women’s Alliance for Development (W.A.D.) is a non-profit, non-partisan foundation registered in Bulgaria. The Alliance works with women’s organisations, informal groups or individual women for sustainable development of the society and its human resources through equal opportunities for women and men in respect to rights, responsibilities, access to resources and decision-making in the family as well as in the social, political and economic life of the country. The Alliance was established in the end of 1996.
