Institute of Forecasting, Slovak Academy of Sciences
The Institute of Forecasting was founded in 1989 as a division of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS). The primary agenda followed by the Institute is the development of forecasting in the fields of social-economic development, the development of science and its environmental aspects. The Institute focuses its efforts in two principle areas; namely, towards the study of theoretical and applied problems of national economic policy and providing macroeconomic analysis and forecasting of Slovakia in the greater European and global contexts.
