The Center of European Study of Novosibirsk State University was organized in 2000 with the assistance of Milan Catholic University “Cattolica del Sacro Cuore” (Italy), Utrecht (Netherlands), the Ludwig-Maximilian Universitat (Germany) and the financial support of the European Committee program “Tempus Tacis”. The main reason for creating the Center was to give students of NSU a possibility to widen the knowledge of European history and culture, to learn the peculiarities of European Law System and Economy and to get additional language knowledge.
