The mission of the Research Consortium on Africa is to find lasting solutions to environmental and health problems that impact the people of Africa. It has one major objective , to support research in decision and environmental policy related research and analysis at all levels of government ( international, national, state, regional and local).

In pursuit of this goal the organisation:

• Builds partnership with government and non government institutions to foster environmentally sustainable society, through cooperative projects and research
• Promotes the exchange of information and experiences and raise public awareness of global environmental threats, to a level where an effective policy response is established
