As sustainable development has wide implications, it is important to draw lessons from the vast amount of available information in understanding and capturing ground realities in the various issues related to the sector. Exchange of ideas and knowledge would help identify and understand knowledge gaps in various areas in order to effectively achieve the intended goals of sustainability.

The Knowledge x-change on Sustainable Development (KxSD), an initiative by TERI supported by UK Government, aims to:

• facilitate knowledge sharing across the facets of sustainable development
• showcase new research and innovative practices, share knowledge and success stories from diverse regions and sectors targeted at policy makers and the wider research community
• focus on three main dimensions of sustainable development -- policy imperatives, technology and innovations, and community partnership
