ACC is a non-governmental, regionally focused conservation organisation based in Nairobi, Kenya. It is dedicated to developing and implementing fresh approaches to the conservation of biological resources. The organisation partakes in the following activities:

• identifying the factors that create and maintain biological diversity
• understanding and applying to conservation the socio-economic factors that affect biodiversity
• developing community participation in biodiversity conservation
• exploring broad, innovative themes that improve both biodiversity conservation and human welfare.

Papers and publications are available for downloading from the website. The website also features a database that gives details of over 100 community based organizations which are involved in managing natural resources with details of their activities and how to contact them.
