Benfield Hazard Research Centre
Benfield Hazard Research Centre is a multidisciplinary academic hazard research centre. It comprises three groups: Geological Hazards, Meteorological Hazards & Seasonal Forecasting, and Disaster Studies & Management.
The Centre provides a conduit for the transfer of natural hazard and risk research, practice, and innovation from the academic environment to the business world and government and international agencies. BHRC facilitates the improvement of natural hazard and risk assessment and the reduction of exposure to natural catastrophes.
the BHRC website hosts a comprehensive resource centre with non BHRC-specific material. Other links lead to BHRC publications and newsletters, latest news, seasonal weather forecasts, and eductation and training (workshops, certification courses, academic programmes).
