The Chemical Industries Education and Training Authority (CHIETA) is a statutory body established by the National Skills Development Act, through the Department of Labour. There are 23 sector education and training authorities (SETAs) in South Africa. They are responsible for promoting economic and social development through learnerships and skills programmes.
