    Field assessments in western Kenya link malaria vectors to environmentally disturbed habitats

    This article, published in BMC Public Health, reports on the ecological and socioeconomic factors contributing to a malaria epidemic in western Kenya. Participatory rural appraisals (PRAs) were conducted with community members in Kisii District during the dry season. The PRAs revealed that brick-making has grown rapidly in the highland swamps due to socioeconomic pressures in the region.
