    The prevalence of hunger in the Philippines prompted the government to launch its hunger mitigation initiative in November 2005. Such initiative consisted of two programs: the Food-for-School Program (FSP) and the Tindahan Natin Program (TNP). The FSP belongs to a class of social safety nets called conditional cash or in-kind transfers.

    Unemployment burden and its distribution: Theory and evidence from India

    This paper develops a measure of unemployment that takes into account both the level and intensity of unemployment and that satisfies several desirable properties, including distribution sensitivity (dealing with differences among the unemployed).
