As disparity among administrative divisions is small, such inequalities, especially in the urban areas, need policy attention.

    Factors Associated with the extent of Vegetable Production

    The study was conducted in Tumulia Union of Kaligong Upazila under Gazipur district. The findings revealed that the overage level of income from the vegetable production of the three categories: landless with homestead, marginal and small farm size. The variables like farm size and annual family income of the women-members had low association with the extent of vegetable production.

    A field experiment was conducted at the Agroforestry Farm, Department of Agroforestry, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Dinajpur to evaluate the performance of cabbage under two multipurpose trees i.e. Black sins (Albezia lebbeck) and mango (Mangifera indica). There was also a control plot (open field). Local variety of cabbage was used as test crop.

    Quality assessment of traditional semi-fermented fishery product (chepa shutki) of Bangladesh collected from the value chain

    Proximate composition of semi-fermented fish products obtained from producer, wholesaler and retailer were analyzed. Lower levels of protein and lipid content in the produces obtained from retailers and wholesalers were probably related to the losses occurring at different stages of marketing chain during handling, transportation and preservation.
