    This article is based on a case study on the Lake Faguibine area in northern Mali. The researchers conducted six single gender participatory workshops in two communities in order to assess the vulnerability and adaptive strategies to climate variability and change for livestock and forest based livelihoods. The results show divergences in the adaptive strategies of men and women.
