  This briefing from the World Health Organization (WHO) summarises conclusions from a meeting held in June 2004 to examine evidence on the interaction between HIV and AIDS and malaria. The meeting highlighted the geographic overlap in occurrence of the two diseases and resulting co-infection. Findings showed that HIV-infected pregnant women are more likely to develop clinical malaria.
